Daily Nugget #92
judgement
well let’s just jump in to the nitty gritty
why don’t we.
judgement.
why are we SO FREAKING judge-y!??
maybe i’m just super sensitive to it right now
after the judge-a-thon i endured.
or
maybe i’m here to expose our judge-y-ness?!
to help us be more responsible & not throw so many energetic daggers?
tonight
while watching my son’s hockey game
i was sitting in the midst of the other teams parents.
between all the trash talking the ref’s for not calling this and that
they were hating on our town in general.
maybe some of you that live in beautiful places like i do
know what i’m talking about.
they think EVERYONE that lives here is rich.
and if you are rich, you are most certainly awful.
(geesh that’s a whole other Nugget!)
wtf x 1000.
omg.
as i attempted to pinch back tears of sadness
sadness for all of the hate
that others feel
for fellow humans
add a little sports (+ testosterone)
and
you have a cocktail that needs a cocktail.
why are we so judge-y?!
why do we think we know what another person is all about?
why do we assume ?
why do we use ALL of that energy
to send hurtful things to others
to feel hurtful things about others?!
it takes so much energy to keep that up.
so much energy that
could be used to sustain and nurture life
instead of depleting it.
oh
to be sensitive.
often
mingling with the masses makes me wanna
stay home and not come out.
ever.
bumping in to all of those potent energies.
people being irresponsible with what they are putting out.
but maybe
i’m judging them?
bla!
i’m caught in it too.
why can’t we all love each other.
sure
we can disagree
but hurt sucks.
poison darts of judgement
and
criticism
harm those on both ends:
the thrower
and
the voodoo doll.
oh people.
it’s time to stop this non-sense.
we have to let things go.
we MUST stop all the judgement.
and
that includes judging ourselves.
sometimes that’s the worst and most potent judgement we throw out there.
our upgraded and upgrading selves
cannot & will not sustain this practice.
it is not healthy
on any level
and
not at all life giving or efficient.
WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS.
we are all here for good reasons.
we all contribute to the whole.
everything we do, think, feel and say
affects EVERYTHING.
pay attention to what you are putting out there.
everything always starts within.
give yourself a big hug.
visualize giving
EVERYONE
EVERYWHERE
a big hug.
a love hug
of compassion
and
authenticity.
hug more.
judge less
(preferable not at all).
know that we are ALL light at our core
and
ALL deserving of a hug and a smile.
deep breathe
in thru the nose
out thru the mouth.
sending love to everyone everywhere.

I was thinking/noticing how judge-y I am all day yesterday…maybe “judgement was in the air” more than usual?? I notice I do it so automatically, instantaneously, knee-jerkily! Any suggestions? Is part of it being human? Or even just being alive?? (That horse is judging that flapping tarp to be very very dangerous!) Can we really completely not judge another?
yes, i think it’s part of our humanness
but i DO think we can ‘fix’ it.
geesh, it takes total paying attention to and re-directing our thoughts.
it’s definitely a practice.
part of our judgey-ness
i think
is what we use to determine our ‘survival’
and whether we need to fight or flight.
we have then taken this tool
in to every nook and cranny of our existence
(us humans like our excessive tendencies!)
and
we judge EVERYTHING and EVERYONE.
just notice when you are judging.
take a breath and consider a new perspective.
there is ALWAYS another way.
