Daily Nugget #185
alignment
my car is pulling to the left….
my body is twisting to the right
my ‘job’ drains me
this relationship is tiring
my body feels heavy
my head is full
i’m freaking out.
alignment.
our cars need it
our bodies need it
our relationships need it
and
most of all
WE NEED IT.
alignment.
we hear it
tho
do we know what it really means
and
do we know how to get there?
a healthy foundation starts with alignment.
can the building withstand an earthquake?
can WE withstand the pulse of life
and
all that comes our way?
are we good surfers?
are we aligned?
what is alignment
and
how do we embody it?
when you look at the definition of alignment
you will find lots of
straight line this and that.
alignment does not always
form a straight line.
sometimes it is curvy
messy
playful
free.
our outer mis-alignments
stem from the inner.
to be truly Aligned
is freaking awesome.
to be truly Aligned
in my inner dictionary means:
To be plugged IN to Self. Always. Making choices that feel good and support growth and forward movement.
‘her life flows with grace because she understands the true meaning of inner alignment.’
Alignment.
how many times do you do something
that doesn’t feel good?
how often do you allow your
guilt. obligations. fear.
control your actions?
this is NOT alignment.
how often do you listen
<truly listen>
to what your heart says?
and
take action from that place?
hello alignment!
and tho
it may rock the boat
or
feel like it WILL rock the boat
you do it anyway.
<go you!>
alignment takes practice.
alignment IS the practice.
the practice of checking in
listening
then
taking action.
Alignment.
are you aligned?
do you feel good everywhere in your life?
what feels OUT?
like that vertebrae that shifts
and causes
you to go down.
ouch.
or
that knee
<the one you call your ‘bad’ knee>
hey,
if you call something bad
it can’t help but continue to be.
after all
that’s what you expect.
you know
that physical ‘thing’
that shifts to the uncomfy position
and
requires you to point most of your attention to it.
yep
mis-alignment
demands our attention.
why?
it is seeking re-alignment.
the road is smoother
when your car is aligned
you can let go of the wheel
and not
veer off the road.
alignment
be IN it
and
you can let go of your need to control your path
and instead
allow it to unfold
trusting
allowing
aligned with who you really are
and
what your heart is truly saying.
alignment.
do you want it?
or
are you addicted to hard-ness
to struggle
stress and effort?
do you like making things difficult for yourself?
i used to have this addiction.
and
an addiction it is.
i’ve since realized
that it’s a hell of a lot nicer
to Be Aligned.
my body feels better
my mind feels better
and
my heart can sing
without someone telling it to shut up.
alignment.
seek it.
Be it.
go!
